Maisie’s Green Brae in Tega Cay is about five minutes from Tega Cay Golf Club — a backyard restaurant and bar with a big patio, a full menu, and room for a foursome or a whole family. We’re not on the course. We’re where the group heads after, especially the families and friends meeting up once the round is done.
Every golfer knows what the 19th hole is. It’s the one that isn’t on the scorecard — the table you find after the round, where the day gets talked back through and the score somehow improves in the retelling. If you just want a cold one and a quick bite steps from the cart return, the clubhouse and the spots right on the course have you covered, and they should.
This is about the other kind of after. The kind where the round was the morning’s plan and the rest of the day is family. Where the foursome agreed to bring the spouses and kids along this time. Where you took a teenager out for nine holes and now everybody’s starving and nobody wants to eat standing up. That’s the version of the 19th hole we’re built for — and we’re about five minutes up the road from Tega Cay Golf Club. Near the course, not on it. We’re where you head after.
Built for the Group, Not Just the Golfer
A lot of post-round spots are sized for the golfer alone — a stool at the bar, a TV, a quick turnaround. That works right up until the group is bigger than the golf. Then you need somewhere with room: a patio that fits a foursome plus the families coming to meet them, a kids’ menu that isn’t an afterthought, space for a dog, and nobody hurrying you out.
That’s the brae. The outdoor space is large — acres, not a strip of patio — so a group that grows over the course of an afternoon still fits. Kids can be kids. Dogs are welcome on-leash throughout the outdoor space and off-leash with their owners in the fenced dog yard. The golfer gets the cold beer and the retelling; everybody else gets a real meal and a place to sit. It’s the same idea we wrote about in our look at bringing the whole family to the brae.
What’s on the Table
Honest comfort food, burgers and sandwiches, shareable plates for the table that can’t agree on one thing, and around 30 taps for the grown-ups — plus a kids’ menu and plenty for the people who aren’t drinking. A round of golf earns a real plate of food, and a teenager who just walked nine holes will out-eat everyone at the table. Look over the full menu before you come, or just turn up hungry.
Allergies, dietary needs, anything the kitchen should know — tell your server. Most plates here can be made vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free. When something can’t, we’ll say so plainly.
For Leagues, Outings, and the Big Group
If your group is bigger than a table — a league wrapping up its season, a charity scramble, a family reunion that built a round into the weekend — we can hold a section so everyone lands in one place, or take the whole patio for a private gathering. For a handful of people, just come on in; no reservation needed. For the larger group, start with Private Events and we’ll set it aside before you arrive.
When to Come
We’re open Wednesday through Sunday, with the kitchen running late on Friday and Saturday. Hours: Wednesday and Sunday 11 am – 8 pm · Thursday 11 am – 10 pm · Friday and Saturday 11 am – 11 pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. On Thursday and Saturday evenings there’s usually live music on the backyard stage — a good reason to make the after-round meal the actual event.
