Date Night on the Brae
A backyard stage, a set from the band, and a table for two under the oaks.
A Stage Out Back.
A Table for Two.
Come as the light goes soft. The band sets up on the backyard stage, the string lights come on, and the oaks do the work no dim dining room ever could. You find a table — out back near the music or inside where it’s quiet and cool — and you settle in for the evening.
Live music is free here. No cover, no ticket, no minimum. Just a set playing while you share a plate and figure out the second round. It’s the kind of night that starts easy and never checks the time.
Not a night out you have to plan around. A night out you can just fall into.
Everything a Good
Night Out Needs
Live Music, No Cover
The backyard stage runs most Thursday and Saturday evenings, free every time. U-Phonik plays here often. Check the schedule and plan the night around a set.
The Food & the Bar
Honest comfort food with Southern, Scottish, and other influences — small plates to share or a full plate each. Around 30 taps, craft cocktails, mocktails, wine, and a whisky list worth lingering over.
Dogs Welcome
Bring the dog. The backyard and patio are made for a leashed pup at your feet, and there’s usually another one or two making the rounds.
Inside or Out
Out back for the music and the night air, or a quieter, climate-controlled table inside when you’d rather have the two of you and the conversation.
Come for the Set.
Stay for the Night.
Live music lands most often on Thursday and Saturday evenings, though it can turn up any open day. It’s always on the backyard stage and always free. The best move is to check the live music schedule before you come so you can time your table to the first set.
We’re open Wednesday and Sunday 11am–8pm, Thursday 11am–10pm, and Friday and Saturday 11am–11pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Friday and Saturday give you the longest evening — and Saturday most often has a band.
No Reservations.
Just Come By.
Date night here is walk-in — there’s no reservation system and no need for one. We don’t hold tables, so on a busy night the best move is to call or text 803.81.HOUND (46863) to check the wait. When you arrive, start the evening with a drink at the bar or in one of our two lounges while your table gets ready — a nice way to begin a date.
Look over the food menu and drinks menu ahead of time if you like — craft cocktails, mocktails, wine, and around 30 taps — but there’s nothing to book. The night is yours to make.
Easy from Wherever
You’re Coming From
We’re at 2150 Gold Hill Road in Tega Cay, a short drive from Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, and Rock Hill, and an easy run from south Charlotte — Ballantyne and Steele Creek included. Close enough to make the drive worth it for a night out, far enough to feel like you’ve left town behind.
It’s the kind of place worth pointing the car toward when you want the evening to feel different from every other Friday. The band, the backyard, the dog at your feet — that’s the whole idea.
