A good work gathering does one quiet thing a conference room never manages. It lets people sit down across from each other and actually talk. That is most of the job. The rest is logistics, and logistics we can handle.
We get asked a lot how to plan a team outing, a client dinner, or a company night out here, so I wanted to write down how we think about it. We are on Gold Hill Road in Tega Cay, a short drive from Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, Rock Hill, and the Ballantyne and Steele Creek side of south Charlotte. If your people live out this way, meeting closer to home is half the win before anyone orders a thing.
Start with the Date
Pick the date first, because it shapes everything else. We are open to the public Wednesday and Sunday 11am–8pm, Thursday 11am–10pm, and Friday and Saturday 11am–11pm. Any of those work for a group booking inside our normal service.
Here is the part most people miss. We are closed to the public Monday and Tuesday, and those two days are the best kept secret for a private buyout. You get the whole room and the whole backyard with no other tables to plan around. If you want the place to yourself, ask about a Monday or Tuesday.
Plan Around Your Headcount
Numbers set the shape of the night. We easily seat 80 or more inside, and more still when the backyard is part of the plan or the group is standing and mingling rather than sitting for a full dinner. A team of a dozen fits comfortably at a long table without buying anything out. Forty or fifty starts to want a section of its own. Eighty and up is a full-house conversation, and that is where a buyout earns its keep.
Tell us the real number and roughly how the evening should feel — seated dinner, grazing and drinks, a mix — and we will lay the room out to match.
Food and the Bar
The kitchen cooks honest comfort food with Southern, Scottish, and other influences, and the same team that runs it every night is the team that will feed your group. We can do a set menu that keeps the night moving, or family-style boards for a table that would rather pass and share. Around 30 taps behind the bar, plus wine and cocktails, and we are glad to set up a bar tab or drink tickets so the accounting stays simple on your end.
On dietary needs: most plates here can be made vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free. When something can’t, we’ll say so plainly. Send the head count and any restrictions when you reach out and the kitchen will plan for them.
The Backyard Stage and Live Music
Out back we have a stage and room to spread out under the sky. For a company night that should not feel like work, live music changes the whole temperature of the evening. We can talk through booking a band for your date, or keep it low-key with the yard open and the taps flowing. It is the difference between a dinner people attend and a night people remember.
Parking, Dogs, and the Rest of the Logistics
We have parking on site at 2150 Gold Hill Road, and getting here from Fort Mill or the south Charlotte side is straightforward. We are dog- and kid-friendly by design, which matters more than people expect for a team gathering — nobody has to arrange a sitter to show up, and a family-forward crowd tends to relax faster than a stiff banquet room ever lets them. That ease is the whole reason a night here beats a rented conference room. People stay longer, and they leave in a better mood than they came.
A Few Questions We Get
Can you host a company event or team outing? Yes. Team outings, client dinners, company gatherings — from a long table for a dozen to a full buyout of the room and backyard. Tell us what the day is for and we will build around it.
How many people fit? We easily seat 80 or more inside, and more when the backyard is in play or the gathering is standing and mingling. Smaller groups can have a corner set aside without a full buyout.
Can we book on a Monday or Tuesday? Yes, and those are our favorite buyout days. We are closed to the public then, so you get the whole space and the whole team with nothing else on the schedule.
Do you cater off-site? We do. If the gathering needs to happen at your office or somewhere else, our catering page has the details, and carryout ordering is live through Toast.
